We
recommend the Sydenham beat on the River Lyd which is located a 15
minute drive north of Tavistock. This 2.6 kms stretch runs through a very attractive Elizabethan Estate. The Lyd is a productive Tamar tributary with brown trout up to 12 inches and the chance of a grayling, sea trout or salmon. It consists of a mix of 12 named pools, runs, pools and shallow riffle sections suitable for fishing with a dry fly or nymph. |
